The men's doubles main draw in Cervia is very special, because all Italians were raffled at the top of the backboard. I think now the level has risen so much abroad, so I see a big problem in this board. A foreign doubles will surely be in the semifinals and I think this is positive for the movement. My first game was difficult, me and my partner played very well, and we were able to beat 2 seeded doubles, and we are very happy.

I also love to play mixed doubles, in Italy in winter time I play very often. At the World Championships I play with a Russian athlete Lyudmila Nikoyan. I think that Russia is growing so much and so fast in beach tennis. Last week I played in Torre del Lago with Nikita Burmakin, we played very well and we almost reached the final. I found myself very well now, players are very serious here, true professionals, and this is the right opportunity to be the best. I'm sure in a few years Russia will reach a lot in beach tennis, and who knows, maybe I will play in tandem with a Russian athlete sooner or later.
